Some stories can only be told in the very place where they once unfolded. “Jernets Fångar” (Prisoners of Iron) is a unique summer theater production staged inside the historic Walloon forge in Österbybruk. Here, amidst the massive stone walls and ancient hearths, you will encounter the people who lived with and for the iron—in pride and captivity, in joy and sorrow.

Although the play is performed in Swedish, the production speaks to an international audience through its powerful visual and auditory storytelling:
